Tainan Cat at Blue Hour

The blue hour settles over a narrow Tainan alleyway, casting deep indigo shadows against weathered brick walls where a vibrant bougainvillea spills from a crumbling balcony above. Below, a rusted cabinet latch on a faded green shutter catches the last ambient light, its orange corrosion against the cool twilight. A tabby cat sits perched on a damp stone step, eyes reflecting the distant neon glow of a nearby temple sign. Beside the cat, a discarded paperbacks stack rests on a plastic crate, pages swollen from recent rain.
