A street vendor in a narrow Soi in Chiang Mai balances a heavy stack of polished copper pots on a wooden cart, the late afternoon sun striking the curved surfaces with intense, burning highlights that contrast against the deep shadows of the alley. Beside the cooking station, a pair of blunt tailor shears rests on a stained cutting board, left open after trimming fabric for a nearby stall. The light catches the rim of a metal ring on the vendor’s finger as she adjusts a wok, creating a fleeting glint against the warm, dusty air.
