A Sussex Spaniel with its signature golden liver coat rests deeply on a wooden window seat, the dog's heavy jowls and long, drop ears framing a calm expression. Soft blue twilight from the city outside casts a cool rim light along the curve of the dog's back, against the warm, amber shadows pooling in the room's interior. The dog's muzzle is broad and slightly wrinkled, resting gently against the worn wood of the sill. Through the glass, the faint glow of early evening streetlights blurs in the distance, hinting at the urban environment of Taloqan. One seam in the floorboards runs parallel to the seat, and a faint reflection of the dog's ear shimmers on the polished surface of the window ledge. The composition leaves ample negative space around the animal, showing the quiet solitude of the early winter evening.
