Surreal Flamingo Wades Near Melbourne Train

Soft overcast light falls through falling snowflakes near Federation Square in Melbourne, illuminating a narrow gauge train with open-air carriages. The cool stillness of early summer morning hangs heavy as the tracks stretch into the distance. Dominating the frame, a flamingo the size of a giraffe wades through the wet pavement beside the train, its pink feathers stark against the grey urban backdrop. Snow accumulates gently on the train's metal roof and the bird's long, spindly legs. The scene balances the familiar architecture of the city with the impossible scale of the bird. One snowflake rests on the edge of the train's window frame.
