The cool stillness of pre-dawn hangs over a Nairobi street corner where a vendor prepares for the day. A blue hour sky fades above the distant skyline, casting a soft, dim light over the scene. On a makeshift wooden cart, a metal coffee grinder sits next to a dented tin can, tools of the trade for the morning rush. A woman in a patterned dress arranges small cups on a crate, her movements practiced and quiet. The asphalt glistens slightly with morning dew, reflecting the faint ambient light. One echeveria plant in a chipped pot rests on the edge of the cart, its rosette tipped with moisture.
