A vendor sits on a low wooden stool on a cobblestone street in Oaxaca as twilight deepens and city lights begin to glow from the surrounding colonial buildings. A clay teapot rests on a small metal tray beside him, steam rising faintly into the cooling air. He holds a hand broom in one hand, using it to gently sweep debris from the edge of his stall. A watering jug stands nearby, filled with rainwater collected earlier in the day. The warm glow of a streetlamp illuminates the texture of his woven hat and the rough stone walls behind him. Passersby walk past in the background, their silhouettes blurred by the fading light.
