A wide angle view shows a busy Kolkata street corner under a flat, overcast sky. In the mid-ground, a cluster of colorful kites with long tails are tangled in the branches of a large, leafy tree, their strings drifting down toward the pavement. Below, a row of aged wooden shop doors features brass latches and iron rings, showing signs of daily use. The street is paved with worn concrete, and pedestrians in casual clothing walk past, some glancing up at the tangled kites. The lighting is diffuse and even, highlighting the textures of the wood and the vibrant colors of the kite fabrics against the muted gray backdrop.
