The cool stillness of pre-dawn Fez wraps around a narrow alleyway where the first hints of light touch the zellige tilework of a nearby building. A local shopkeeper stands near the entrance of his workshop, holding a brass serving spoon as he stirs a pot of mint tea. Beside him, a ceramic tea canister rests on a wooden crate, its surface reflecting the dim ambient light. Nearby, a broom leans against the wall, its bristles worn from daily use. The quiet rhythm of morning preparations in this historic Moroccan city, with the soft glow illuminating the textures of the old stone and the steam rising gently from the tea.
