Soft, diffused light falls through sheer curtains, casting gentle shadows across a stainless steel sterilizer drawer resting in a Delhi salon. Inside the open compartment, neatly arranged brushes with black handles, small glass bottles with white caps, and stacks of disposable plastic tools sit ready. The midday sun creates subtle, shimmering reflections on the polished metal surfaces and the smooth plastic of the tools. The turn of the season is hinted at by the cool, pale quality of the light mixing with the warm tones of the wooden counter nearby.
