Stacked Containers in Predawn Kimberley Atrium

by Brad Frost

Soft tungsten light washes over a minimalist arrangement of shipping containers stacked in a geometric grid within a vaulted atrium. Four distinct colors—rusted orange, deep navy, faded green, and slate gray—create sharp horizontal bands against the darkening predawn interior. Window light cuts across the floor and lower container walls, revealing the rough, corrugated texture of the metal surfaces. The high ceiling fades into shadow, showing the clean lines of the industrial objects. Cool daylight bleeds in from the periphery, against the warm artificial glow. A faint reflection of the window frame appears on the smooth, flat side of a navy container.
