Flat noon light pours through a north window, illuminating a thick haze of white chalk dust that fills the air. A lifting-platform chalk-screen squeegee stands silhouetted against this bright glare, its dark form stark against the luminous background. Fine powder coats the black mat seams, softening the frame edges with a gritty texture. The squeegee rests heavily on the floor, its handle pointing upward, creating a sharp vertical line against the diffuse glow. Dust settles on the rubber edges of the mat, marking the boundary between the clean gym space and the active training zone. The turn of seasons is visible in the cool, flat quality of the illumination falling across the equipment.
