A damp, gray mist softens the edges of a bustling Pike Place Market stall where a vendor in a yellow rain slicker sorts through crates of bright red strawberries. The heavy fog rests on the corrugated metal awning, dripping condensation onto the wet pavement below. A weathered wooden scale sits open, its surface scarred with knife marks from years of use, against the slick plastic crates stacked nearby. In the background, the blurred shapes of commuters move past, their figures obscured by the thick coastal haze, while the vibrant fruit provides a sharp, saturated anchor in the monochrome morning light.
