Deep indigo evening light washes over a textile trader's stall in Moscow, casting the figure of a stallholder into sharp silhouette against the fading sky. The vendor raises a hand holding a cloth or vessel, spraying a fine mist of cool water over a pile of ripe figs arranged on a wooden counter. The figs catch the last glow of the day, their skins appearing as dark, rounded shapes with subtle highlights where the water droplets catch the light. Behind the fruit, bolts of textured fabric hang vertically, their folds lost in the shadow of the stall structure. The clear autumn air leaves the edges of the figs crisp and defined. One droplet hangs from the rim of a fig, reflecting the faint blue of the sky.
