Shining Steel Lines in Dairy Milking Parlor

Cold strip lights reflect sharply off the stainless steel pipes that curve through the milking parlor near Curitiba. The low angle view emphasizes the height of the metal framework against the concrete floor. North-window sidelight cuts across the room, highlighting dust motes in the air while deep shadows settle into the corners where the artificial lamplight has not yet reached. The midsummer season is evident in the heavy industrial equipment and the worn rubber boots resting near the base. The polished surfaces gleam with a sterile brightness, against the rough texture of the floor beneath. One reflection of a hanging bulb stretches long across the wet concrete.
