First light breaks over the Seattle skyline, casting a pale blue hue across the wet asphalt of a downtown street. The massive, textured concrete facade of a brutalist university building dominates the left side, its raw geometry against the softening sky. Pedestrians in heavy coats hurry past, heads down against the chill, their breath visible in the cold air. A few parked cars line the curb, their surfaces reflecting the muted dawn light. In the distance, the Space Needle rises faintly through the mist, anchoring the scene in its specific urban context. The street is quiet but alive with the subtle movement of early morning traffic and the occasional glance from a passing driver.
