Roti Prata in Singapore

A vendor’s hand grips metal tongs, flipping golden roti prata on a large flat griddle, while a stack of glossy white enamel plates waits nearby. Condensation beads on a plastic cup of teh tarik beside a small ceramic bowl of curry. The air is thick with steam rising from the cooking surface, catching the light in soft wisps. In the background, blurred figures in casual evening wear queue patiently, their silhouettes framed by the warm amber glow of the stall’s signage and the cool twilight filtering in from the open-air arcade.
