Clean daylight fills the late morning space of a Mbuji-Mayi storefront, illuminating a plastic register till clip tray holding wire, laminate sheets, tape rolls, and paper. Beaded condensation lines the nearby glass, marking the wet season air outside. Converging lines of the counter and shelving extend toward a vanishing point deep in the shop. Sharp reflections sit on the glass surfaces against the matte textures of the paper and the smooth plastic of the tray. A strip of blue tape rests against the edge of the laminate, marking a specific spot on the white surface. Condensation droplets rest on the glass edge, catching the light.
