Soft winter light falls through a high window, illuminating floating dust motes above a tiled grooming bay in Odessa. A low wooden fence encloses a group of young puppies playing on the concrete floor. Several blue and red plastic mop buckets line the perimeter, their handles crossed and resting against the wood. Thick, knotted chew ropes in natural hemp and bright yellow lie scattered among the animals. The puppies tumble over each other, their fur ranging from cream to dark brown. A large window reveals a gray, overcast sky outside, while the interior walls show signs of wear from frequent cleaning. The scene ends with a close-up of a puppy's paw pressing against the rough wood of the fence.
