Predawn Magnet Strip and Endless Doors in WA Pasture
Silvery winter light falls through thick fog to illuminate a metal chute syringe magnet strip standing beside a wire pasture gate. The equipment, coated in a fine layer of morning dew, reflects the pale predawn sky. Behind the functional husbandry tool, an impossible corridor stretches into the distance. Identical wooden doors line both sides of this narrow passage, repeating endlessly despite the outdoor setting. The ground beneath the strip is damp earth, while the corridor floor appears to be polished concrete. Shadows from the repeating doors create a rhythmic pattern of dark and light that recedes into the white mist. The texture of the rusted metal contrasts with the smooth, uniform surfaces of the impossible doors. A final detail of condensation rests on the lower edge of the nearest door frame.
