The still hours before dawn cast a cool blue light over a quiet street corner in Izmir, Turkey, where the Kordon waterfront promenade meets the older city fabric. A thin layer of steam haze rises from a closed street food cart, obscuring the lower portion of the frame and softening the view of the cobblestones. In the mid-ground, a lone worker adjusts a metal shutter, his silhouette sharp against the dim ambient glow of streetlamps reflecting off the wet pavement.
