Pottery Vendor at Irkutsk Market Stall Before Dawn

Low-hanging gray clouds press against the early morning sky above a textile trader's stall in Irkutsk. The first rays of sunrise cut through the cool stillness, illuminating rows of glazed bowls arranged on wooden crates beside bolts of patterned fabric. The vendor stands behind the display, hands adjusting a deep blue ceramic piece with a glossy finish. Early autumn light casts long, soft shadows across the rough ground, highlighting the texture of the wool textiles and the smooth curves of the pottery. A few other market structures fade into the misty background under the overcast sky. The edge of a red ceramic bowl rests sharply against a strip of white fabric, defining the boundary between the two displays.
