A Pointer lies sprawled on a textured woven rug in the corner of a room in Aba, its coat displaying the distinct tan and white markings typical of the breed. The dog's muzzle shape and folded ears rest naturally as it faces a low couch draped with a simple throw. Natural light streams in from a nearby window, casting soft highlights across the animal's short fur and revealing the individual weave of the rug fibers. An uncluttered wall provides a neutral backdrop, while a slight shift in the dog's posture breaks perfect symmetry. The foreground floorboard seam runs diagonally across the lower frame, at the base of the composition in a lived-in domestic space.
