Warm firelight glows across a metal glide-foot bin resting beside a wooden locker bench in the quiet corner of a climbing gym. The early autumn air settles in the stillness before dawn, casting deep amber shadows against the concrete walls. Dust motes hang suspended in the beams of light that spill over the smooth aluminum surface of the bin. The wood grain of the bench shows signs of frequent use, its edges worn soft by hands. Behind the bin, the gym floor stretches into darkness, waiting for the first Pilates and yoga sessions to begin. A faint reflection of the light catches on the curved metal foot of the bin, marking the edge where the warm interior meets the cool, dark recovery zone.
