Perth Brass Hand Mirror

A brass hand mirror rests on the rough-hewn wooden rail of a balcony overlooking the Swan River in Perth during the summer evening. The convex glass surface reflects the fading golden light of the sun as it dips below the distant tree line. Beside the mirror, a small ceramic pot holds a wilting geranium, its red petals against the weathered grey wood. The metal frame of the mirror shows subtle signs of oxidation, catching the last rays of daylight in sharp, bright highlights.
