Soft overcast light washes the late autumn game trail near Toyama in a uniform silver-gray tone. A male peacock stands center frame, fanning a massive tail of iridescent eyespots in shades of teal, copper, and gold. Fine droplets of sea spray hang in the air, catching the diffuse light as tiny suspended beads around the bird's vibrant plumage. The feathers show intricate texture, each eye detailed with concentric rings of blue and bronze against a background of muted browns and dried leaves. Shallow depth of field blurs the distant foliage into soft patches of russet and olive, isolating the sharp, fanned display against the wet, earthy ground.
