A Norwegian Forest cat stands on the weathered wooden boards of a shaded front porch in Mwanza, its thick ruff and tufted ears defining the breed's silhouette against the soft light. The animal's gaze is fixed forward, capturing a moment of alert stillness just before it might shift its weight. Sunlight falls through a broken cloud band, casting dappled patterns across the cat's layered fur and the painted stair railing that runs behind it. A foreground ledge made of rough-hewn wood frames the lower edge of the view, at the base of the subject in a lived-in domestic space.
