Under the flat glare of noon, a vast solar array stretches across the dry scrubland on the outskirts of Los Angeles. The sun beats down relentlessly on rows of photovoltaic panels mounted on metal racks, creating harsh shadows beneath the structures. Sparse desert vegetation, including dry sagebrush and scattered manzanita bushes, surrounds the installation. In the distance, the hazy outline of the San Gabriel Mountains rises against a pale blue sky. One maintenance vehicle is parked near the edge of the field, its white paint reflecting the intense light. The intersection of renewable energy infrastructure and the arid California landscape during the hottest part of the day.
