Sunlight breaks over the Vltava River, casting long, sharp shadows across the uneven cobblestones of the Lesser Town. A solitary plane tree stands near the edge of the pedestrian walkway, its bare branches creating intricate patterns against the pale sky. The stone balustrade of the bridge looms in the background, worn smooth by centuries of traffic. One red boot scraper sits mounted on a dark wooden post by a closed bakery door, catching the first rays of the sun.
