Sunlight spills over the whitewashed stucco of a Granada balcony, illuminating a small orange cat stretching lazily on a woven mat. Beside the feline, a terracotta flowerpot holds a sprig of basil, its leaves catching the early morning glow. The wrought-iron railing shows subtle signs of age, with a hint of rust on a latch, at the base of the scene in the historic Albayzín district. Below, the faint outline of the Alhambra’s red towers emerges from the morning haze, providing a distant backdrop to this quiet, domestic moment. The light is soft and directional, casting long shadows across the stone tiles, showing the stillness of a just-woken neighborhood in Andalusia.
