Sunrise casts a sharp diagonal stripe of gold across the basin of a traditional copper lota resting on a weathered stone step in Jaipur. The pink sandstone wall behind it shows the texture of aged plaster and faint grease sheen from a nearby kitchen window. A hanging air plant in a woven basket sways slightly near the frame edge, catching the early light. White plumeria petals lie scattered on the cobblestones, having fallen from a nearby tree. The quiet moment just after dawn in the old city, with the warm light highlighting the details of daily life without any staged arrangement.
