Misty Stairwell in Medellin

A steep, narrow stairwell in Comuna 13 rises through thick, gray mist, the air heavy with dampness. Concrete steps are worn smooth by decades of foot traffic, flanked by walls patched with mismatched tiles and faded municipal graffiti. One, vibrant geranium in a cracked terracotta pot sits on a landing, its red blooms stark against the monochrome fog. Below, a wooden hanger with a faded blue shirt hangs from a rusted wire strung between two buildings, swaying slightly in the updraft.
