The late summer sun casts long, sharp shadows across a weathered stone bench in Luxor, where a local tea seller stands behind a small metal cart. The heat shimmers off the pavement, blurring the distant silhouette of the Karnak temple columns. On the cart’s surface, a glass teapot pours amber liquid into tiny cups, while a worn wooden board shows deep knife marks from years of slicing mint. A paper fan rests near a stack of saucers, unused but present. The quiet rhythm of daily life, with the seller’s hands moving deliberately as he prepares the next round of sweet mint tea for passing tourists.
