Mint Leaves in Austin

A cluster of vibrant green mint leaves rests on a wet granite countertop in a downtown Austin kitchen, glistening under the soft, diffuse light of early morning. Raindrops rest on the serrated edges of the foliage, catching the pale blue hue of the overcast sky visible through the nearby window. The dark, polished stone surface reflects the delicate veins of the leaves, at the base of the organic shapes in the domestic setting. One drop of water slowly slides down the side of the largest leaf, highlighting the texture of the fresh herbs.
