Pale walls reflect bright midday skylight onto a wooden writing desk in a Nairobi room. A centered flower arrangement sits prominently, its stems and blooms catching soft, diffuse illumination. Cool season air leaves the space quiet, with shadows resting gently along the baseboards and wall corners. The wood grain of the desk shows subtle texture under the even light. Delicate petals display varying shades of white and green, against the dark, polished surface beneath them. A small shadow falls across the lower right corner of the tabletop, at the base of the stillness of the objects in the room.
