The low blue light of nautical dawn settles over a narrow Kathmandu alleyway where a local vendor prepares for the day. A simple wooden stool sits near the entrance of a tea stall, holding a brass bowl filled with creamy kheer sagar topped with chopped pistachios. Steam rises faintly from the dessert as the vendor arranges the sweets on a worn counter. The surrounding walls show signs of age with peeling paint and exposed brickwork typical of the city. A few early customers stand nearby, waiting for their morning refreshments. The quiet activity of a neighborhood market before the city fully wakes up.
