A black and tan Manchester Terrier stands centered in a small Shanghai yard where the grass is clipped short and slightly damp. Late autumn light falls through a brief sun shower, creating soft reflections on the wet ground. The dog's coat shows distinct texture with glossy black fur along the back and tan markings on the muzzle and eyebrows. Raindrops rest on the whiskers and ears while the background dissolves into a blur of green and gray. Reflected light from a nearby water feature illuminates the side of the face, highlighting the sharp set of the ears and the precise shape of the muzzle. A brass collar tag catches a faint gleam against the dark fur as the animal gazes directly forward.
