Lima Peru Coastal Cliffside Neighborhood with Laundry Lines and Morning Sunlight

The sun rises over the Pacific Ocean, casting a pale blue light across the steep, terraced hillsides of Lima. A dense cluster of concrete and brick houses climbs the cliff edge, their facades painted in faded yellows and whites. Thin ropes stretch between balconies, heavy with drying laundry that flutters slightly in the coastal breeze. Below, the dark waters of the ocean meet the rocky shore. A few potted plants sit on a narrow concrete ledge, including a single amaryllis bulb with tall crimson flowers blooming in the morning light. The vertical density of the city, where residential life rests on the precipice above the sea.
