Lebanese Flyover Stack Against Blue Hour Sky in beneath transmission towers in Lebanon

Lebanese Flyover Stack Against Blue Hour Sky

by Penny Prince

Cool blue evening light washes the wet concrete surfaces of a massive highway flyover stack. Low-hanging clouds press down near the structural curves, forming a heavy ceiling above the infrastructure. Utility lights along the underpass cast pools of warm yellow against the darkening grey stone, highlighting the rough texture of the damp pavement. Transmission towers rise vertically in the background, their steel lattice silhouetted against the fading pink and purple sky. Leading lines formed by the road barriers guide the gaze toward the vanishing point beneath the concrete arches. Damp surfaces amplify the contrast between the cold sky and the warm streetlamps. A streak of water trails down a vertical support pillar, catching the light before disappearing into the shadow below.
