The white vapor drifts upward, partially obscuring the stainless steel surfaces and hanging utensils. A metal stair rail runs along the side of a narrow alleyway, leading past the illuminated storefront. Neon signs in Chinese characters cast a cool blue light on the wet pavement, reflecting the ambient city glow.
