Lanzhou Claims Desk After Hours Monitor Glow

Polished laminate surfaces reflect the cool blue and amber hues of multiple computer monitors in a spacious operations center in Lanzhou. Rows of identical workstations stretch into the distance, separated by low partitions of frosted glass. The room is dim, illuminated primarily by the glow of screens and the faint wash of city lights filtering through the high windows. One desk in the foreground holds a stack of organized paper files, a black landline phone, and a closed laptop. Early spring is hinted at by the soft, diffused quality of the ambient light outside the glass. The atmosphere is still and quiet, defined by the clean lines of the furniture and the orderly arrangement of office supplies.
