The machine sits idle during the still hours before dawn, its rounded lid reflecting the cool blue glow of nearby patient monitors. White ceramic tiles cover the walls, showing faint smudges from the dry season air. Deep shadows stretch along the baseboards where the artificial light fails to reach. A stack of medical charts rests on the adjacent counter, their edges crisp against the muted beige background. The floor is polished concrete, catching a faint sheen from the overhead fixtures. One power cord runs along the wall, disappearing into a socket behind the equipment.
