The scene is anchored by a small, cluttered stall displaying chipped blue enamel pots and ceramic decanters, their surfaces slick with condensation. Nearby, a wire scrap basket holds discarded brown paper bags, while a bulb planter sits empty on the wet pavement, waiting for spring. The muted colors of the wet cobblestones reflect the dull sky, against the vibrant, worn blue of the enamelware. A kitchen brush leans against a crate of peat briquettes, its bristles stiff with cold.
