Ivy Vines in London

Thick ivy vines rest on the red brick facade of a riverside pub in Chelsea, their leaves catching the last warm light of a summer evening. The greenery spills over a stone window ledge where a single white ceramic plate sits slightly askew, bearing the faint residue of a recent meal. Condensation beads on the glass pane behind the plate, softening the view of the darkening Thames beyond. A small brass pulley hook, likely used for hanging outdoor lights, dangles from the eaves just above the vine-covered wall.
