A weathered iron hook protrudes from the damp stone wall of a historic Edinburgh close, catching the faint, gray light of a misty dawn. The rough texture of the granite contrasts with the smooth, oxidized surface of the metal, which hangs just above a narrow, wet cobblestone path. Nearby, a single bare tree branch reaches into the fog, its silhouette barely distinguishable against the pale sky. Rain droplets rest on the lower edge of the hook, reflecting the dim ambient light of the early morning.
