Iron Boot Scraper in Dubrovnik

A heavy iron boot scraper stands anchored in the narrow shadow of a limestone doorway on Stradun in Dubrovnik. Flat noon light washes out the deep orange rust on the scraper's vertical tines and the worn stone base. Beside the metal object, a sliver of white sandstone wall shows faint pitting from centuries of coastal wind. Small gravel and dried dust accumulate in the shallow metal trough at the base of the frame.
