The dog's muzzle shape and folded ears define the breed, while its paws rest near a slight curb where a rumpled white curtain edge hangs from a nearby window. Sunlight highlights the texture of the coarse fur against the rough plaster surface, and a single rusted nail pokes out of the wall near the animal's shoulder. A faded blue mat lies askew on the dusty ground, and the warm light casts soft shadows across the uneven pavement. A small patch of green moss rests on the base of the wall where the curb meets the dirt.
