Iris in Seattle at Dawn Light

A narrow residential alley in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood is swallowed by thick, gray dawn mist, softening the edges of steeply pitched roofs and cedar shingles. A weathered wooden deck chair sits tilted against a damp brick wall, its canvas faded by years of Pacific Northwest rain. Beside it, a cluster of iris blossoms pushes through the wet soil, their purple petals heavy with condensation. The scene is quiet and still, with no people in sight, only the muted colors of the mist and the vibrant, damp flora. The lighting is diffuse and cool, creating a moody, atmospheric quality that emphasizes the textures of the wet wood and stone.
