Darkness envelops the Bilbao waterfront as a massive tanker ship sits stationary at the refinery dock, its hull reflecting faint ambient light from nearby industrial fixtures. Above, a bridge maintenance cage hangs suspended from the steel trusses of the La Salve Bridge, swaying slightly in the crosswind against the night sky.
