Illuminated Manuscript on Velvet Chair

Soft, diffused morning light falls through a window, settling across a dark velvet chair in a quiet room. An open illuminated manuscript rests on the chair's cushion, its pages displaying intricate gold leaf and vibrant red ink against aged parchment. A quill with a worn feather tip lies diagonally across the right page, its nib pointing toward a fresh drop of ink. The velvet fabric shows deep pile and subtle wear where the weight of the book presses into it. Early spring light creates a gentle gradient from pale blue on the left to warm amber on the right. The edges of the gold letters catch the light, creating sharp, tiny highlights that contrast with the matte texture of the surrounding paper. A small shadow from the chair's armrest falls across the lower corner of the open book.
