Iced Vietnamese Coffee on Marble in Cologne Cafe
by Stefan Wood
Copper-toned afternoon light spills across a polished white marble table in a Cologne cafe. Centered in the frame, a tall clear glass holds Vietnamese ca phe sua da, its dark coffee and creamy milk forming distinct layers beneath a mound of crushed ice. The glass rim reflects the warm glow of nearby candles, casting soft highlights on the condensation beading along the cool surface. A small white ceramic saucer sits beneath the glass, catching a few stray ice shards that have melted onto the stone. The clean marble surface shows subtle gray veining, against the vibrant amber and deep brown tones of the drink. A silver spoon rests diagonally on the saucer, its handle pointing toward the upper right corner. The composition feels restrained yet celebratory, with the drink as the sole focal point against the cool, smooth stone.
